Position Overview
The Event Coordinator plans, organizes, and executes events that bring Youngblood Magazine’s vision and community to life. This role ensures that panels, pop-ups, launches, and live experiences are executed seamlessly while reflecting the magazine’s culturally relevant aesthetic. The Event Coordinator works closely with editorial, creative, and marketing teams to create experiences that engage audiences and expand the magazine’s reach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage events, including launches, panels, workshops, pop-ups, and community gatherings.
  • Coordinate logistics, vendors, locations, and talent for events.
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to promote events and drive attendance.
  • Ensure events align with the magazine’s aesthetic, mission, and editorial vision.
  • Oversee on-site execution, including setup, flow, and troubleshooting.
  • Track post-event metrics and feedback to improve future programming.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in event planning, production, or coordination.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of contemporary culture, media, and creative industries.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances.

Compensation
This position is paid through a stipend, which will be distributed when new issues of Youngblood Magazine are released. The stipend amount is based on available funds after each issue is released.
