Position Overview
The Set Designer creates physical and/or digital environments for photoshoots and video productions. This role designs immersive, visually compelling sets that reflect the magazine’s culturally relevant aesthetic, enhancing storytelling through atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build sets for photoshoots, video content, and live events.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and art department to execute concepts.
- Source and manage props, materials, and set elements.
- Stay updated on design trends and innovative set concepts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in set design, production design, or stage design.
- Strong creative vision and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and adapt to editorial direction.
- Knowledge of materials, space design, and props.
Compensation
This position is paid through a stipend, which will be distributed when new issues of Youngblood Magazine are released. The stipend amount is based on available funds after each issue is released.
